Unity Hall at Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Austin, Texas

Unity Hall is placed at the heart of a growing and productive community. The building will serve as Mobile Loaves & Fishes Headquarters, as well as, their Great Sanctuary Hall for spiritual reflection. The architectural design takes advantage of passive climate control strategies to create comfortable spaces throughout the year. The utilization of the Texas "dog trot" separates the quiet sanctuary space from the Mobile Loaves & Fishes office headquarters. The building orientation responds to prominent wind flows so the large glass doors can be opened for passive cooling and interaction to the outdoor environment.  Rain water collection tanks are exposed on the façade of the building to show the relation and respect to the environment. The interior spaces are practical and simple, but serene and soothing, giving human warmth to spaces dedicated to healing.

We are honored and grateful to have participated with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, an organization whose impact reaches far greater than the walls of Unity Hall.
