Architecture firm Rhode Partners announced the start of construction of a 19-story apartment building near the Texas A&M University campus that will bring the latest amenities to students in the Bryan–College Station area.

Designed with rounded corners on three sides, the 300,000-square-foot building at 315 College Main is being developed by Austin-based Parallel. Completion is planned in fall of 2023. The building will bring nearly 300 units to the neighborhoods of Northgate and downtown Bryan.

An amenities deck with an open courtyard and pool on the seventh level will provide southern views of Texas A&M. Additional amenities include a roof deck, study and conference rooms, a fitness center, club room and the new University Student Lutheran
Center. The building is going up on the former site of the University Lutheran Chapel, which had occupied it since 1965.

The groundbreaking Thursday marks the third student housing for Austin-based Rhode Partners this year, and its eleventh overall.

"We are grateful to be partnering with our client Parallel, community stakeholders, and all of the project’s collaborators to bring inspired design and elevated living to the students and local citizens who will inhabit the building and make use of its amenities,” Robert Tait, director of Rhode Partners, said in an announcement.

The project team includes Levy Architects for interiors, Rogers-O'Brien Construction, RLG Consulting Engineers, Jones Carter, V3 Consulting Engineers, Engineering Consulting Services and InfiniSys.
