The Community Issue

Texas Contemporary™ Monthly: Issue 30

The Culture of Giving Back

Our community engagement transcends the boundaries of brick and mortar and weaves itself into the fabric of everyday life at LEVY DYKEMA. It is not just a core value, but a spirit that drives our creativity and commitment.

Our team actively engages with local communities. Whether it’s a signature Texas Contemporary™️ design or supporting local communities through pro bono contributions, partnerships, or charitable donations, LEVY DYKEMA thrives on making a difference.

We're excited to share that the family partner recipient has successfully moved into her new home, built by Austin Habitat for Humanity with contributions from the team at LEVY DYKEMA. Her family now has a safe, affordable place to call home and we are honored to have been part of that effort.

This month Biby Dykema, Principal, shares her thoughts on the importance of community.

As the adage goes, "To Give Is To Receive." That thought strikes me as I think about the numerous community organizations that LEVY DYKEMA happily supports. As architects, designers and influencers of creating places and spaces, we recognize the value of giving back to the community that inspires us.

Not only do these important causes benefit from our time and treasure, but our engagement with them also gives back to us by helping broaden our understanding of the world and gaining a unique sense of purpose. Be it education, health, environment, culture, arts, or other areas that impact communities, we encourage you to join us in proactively supporting your community. Enjoy the satisfaction of helping make a difference!

We are happy to introduce a new feature of our monthly newsletter,
The LEVY DYKEMA Way, where clients and team members share their insights.
This month, we hear from Studio Director, Mauricio Feldsberg.

A Message from Our President

A Culture of Giving Back

From Mobile Loaves and Fishes to Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Urban Roots and more, community support and engagement are integral to our company’s culture and driving principles.

Everyone in our organization is encouraged to be involved as we offer each staff member four hours per month of paid leave of absence for their volunteer work. In addition, we provide financial support to organizations that help our communities to be the best they can be.

As we plan for a new year, we will expand and reinvigorate our community support initiatives. It is a vital part of what we refer to as The LEVY DYKEMA Way.
