Growth Through Excellence

Texas continues to experience unprecedented growth stretching from the bustling urban center of Austin to the captivating coastal region.

LEVY DYKEMA is excited to be a leading contributor to this dynamic landscape. The growth of our architecture, design, and interiors work, ranging from student housing, retail, restaurants, public spaces, to signature residential homes and more, mirrors the growth and vitality of our great state.

Traditional Irish building methods profoundly influenced Cork & Barrel's design. A variant of the "double-pile" house, the project splits into two, uniform gable buildings that run parallel to one another with a detached pavilion on the same structural axis as the main building. The symmetrical forms share an appropriate roof pitch of 45 degrees, which provides a visual balance between wall and roof and is a defining characteristic of traditional Irish building methods. Shifting the two structures along their parallel axis creates a visible entry and reveals a transparent passage, through the interior, to the preserved woodlands beyond.

This month James Hadden, Director of Operations, shares his thoughts on growth.

We’ve all heard the expression, “If you’re not growing, you’re dying.” It’s been easy to grow over the last 10 years, especially in the booming Austin economy, but what does growth look like in a time of uncertainty? For some, this is a time to hunker down. For others, the uncertainty is an opportunity.

For LEVY DYKEMA, this is an opportunity to reinvest in our core strengths – great design and unparalleled client service. We know that we best serve our clients by focusing on finding innovative solutions that create value for their projects. In the end, the best growth strategy is simply being great at what you do and having great people to work with.

A Message from our President

Fueling Growth

Our role and responsibility in this era of growth is clear. We are inspired and dedicated to design signature projects that optimize our client’s vision and engage end users.

The LEVY DYKEMA talented teams working in the Austin and Corpus Christi Studios every day, are fueling the drive and performance that is growing our brand reputation for excellence.

This may be the beginning of a significant long-term growth period. Projections indicate continued exponential growth in Texas doubling the population by the year 2060.

Hold on to your hats and let’s enjoy the ride!
